Bohuslav Fuchs probably won the contract for the municipal apartment building in Tasov thanks to his contacts with the municipal government, which he established during the construction procedures that had been ongoing since 1921 in connection with the construction of Jakub Deml's family house. While the poet's house was designed in the so-called national style, combining elements of rondocubism and folk architecture, in the case of the municipal apartment building from 1922 Fuchs chose a different architectural morphology inspired by Dutch architecture. The facade of the two-storey building in the shape of a cuboid with a hipped roof is dominated by distinctive plastic elements, also accentuated by the color of the plaster. Abstract and even anthropomorphic shapes are formed by semicircular staircase projections between the recessed entrances and loggias on the ground floor and another pair of loggias on the first floor, accentuated by plastic elements in the shape of the letter T on a distinctive white-plastered cornice. The massive cornice is a distinctive decorative accent repeated on all facades of the house, on the eastern one it is even doubled and broken by eaves. The cornice is also applied to the extension in the western part of the house, above which a roof is stretched, ending with an attic.

The municipal building was recently reconstructed, all the plastic elements of its facade were preserved, but with a changed color scheme.
