The Architecture Manual (AM) is a universal online database of modern architecture that links existing Architecture Manuals, which were created, like the AM, according to the unified methodology of the Brno Architecture Manual. The interconnection enables searches according to specified criteria (for example, by individual architects) across all manuals or thematically focused trails responding to current events. The main goal of AM is to facilitate the involvement of smaller municipalities and to include regions and areas in the database. AM aims to create a broad, interconnected network of municipalities and other stakeholders in which architectural and cultural heritage is mediated and responds to current stimuli. AM's ambition is to spread the idea and methodology of the Architecture Manual to other cities in Europe and worldwide.

The AM project aims to become a lively and sought-after platform for communicating architectural history to the domestic and international public. It targets in particular the inhabitants of the towns and villages that are part of the database as well as tourists, for whom AM is an attractive tool for learning about a given locality and conveying its architectural heritage and history. The AM project is not only a popularization but also a documentation tool. Thanks to the targeted collection of contemporary and historical image material, it becomes a valuable archival resource. AM will publish and systematize often poorly available archival materials from museum and archival collections, thus becoming an important starting point for the professional public and students in the field of (modern) architectural history. At the same time, the AM will take new photographic documentation of the current state of the buildings, which will one day also become an important archival resource. The Architecture Manual (AM) platform is a project of the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology created according to the methodology and original IT solution Brno Architecture Manual (BAM, bam.brno.cz).
